At Innovation-Go!, we focus on solving real-world problems through paid trainee programs. These programs give individuals, often from fields like hospitality or other non-technical or professional backgrounds, the chance to create innovative, marketable products while being paid well and provided with the resources to succeed. Our approach isn’t about charity—it’s about creating opportunities where both the individual and the sponsoring organizations benefit. These companies not only nurture future innovators but also walk away with solutions and products that have market value.
In one pilot project, we worked with a participant living in the Dominican Republic who had no prior experience or training with creative technologies . Over a span of three months, he developed an educational game that helps children improve their Spanish literacy. The program embraces the idea that anyone, no matter their background, can think creatively to tackle real-world challenges—whether it’s a product to solve an educational problem or an entirely new approach to addressing local issues. We focus on inventive thinking that leads to real, impactful solutions. We also take a holistic approach, recognizing that participants may bring personal complexities, which is why we offer support like counselling, collaboration and teamwork workshops to help them thrive.
Although my pilot project with the trainee wasn’t 100% successful, much like Edison’s search for the lightbulb, every step and mistake brings me closer to a more effective model. Each iteration helps refine the process to create something sustainable and impactful.
This is only half of what we do at Innovation-Go! The other half focuses on our own creative work. We have two VR projects: Math Is Weird, which explores the beauty and oddities of mathematics, and Like Nobody’s Watching, a fantasy VR series that blends dance, culture, and human connection. We also offer consulting services in storytelling for STEM education and technology, helping organizations communicate complex ideas in ways that emotionally resonate with their audiences.
